SAT is manageable, but the published 90-minute domestic recommendation is not generous during a rush. Use two hours when parking, checking bags, or flying during the morning peak.

This is your airport arrival time—not the time to leave home. Airline check-in and bag-drop cutoffs still apply.

Terminal A and Terminal B checkpoints open at 3:30 AM, and SAT publishes current average waits. Use the airport's two-hour peak-period buffer when checking bags or parking remotely.

Don’t stand at the wrong curb
The consolidated Rental Car Facility is connected to the terminal complex by a covered sky bridge; follow signs from baggage claim.
Terminals A and B are adjoining sections of the same complex. Walk between them landside; confirm the checkpoint and concourse before screening.
A free waiting lot is one block from Loop 410/Airport Boulevard near QMart and Burger King; remain with the vehicle.
