LAS is easy only if you know Terminal 1 versus Terminal 3. The buildings are separate, rental cars are remote, and event traffic can erase a comfortable time buffer.
When should I be at LAS?

We’ll work backward from the airport’s recommendation.
This is your airport arrival time—not the time to leave home. Airline check-in and bag-drop cutoffs still apply.
What you’re walking into
Checkpoint hours and line conditions vary between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3; verify the airline terminal before arrival.
Check live security wait times before leaving ↗What it costs
Don’t stand at the wrong curb
Terminal 1 pickup is in the parking garage; Terminal 3 pickup is in the valet level of the parking garage. Follow signs and confirm the level in the app.
The consolidated Rental Car Center is off-airport on Gilespie Street; free shuttles leave from designated terminal stops.
Automated trams connect gate areas, but Terminals 1 and 3 are not connected by a simple public walkway. Use the inter-terminal shuttle outside security when required.
A free cell-phone lot is available for attended vehicles waiting to pick up passengers.
