We’ll work backward from the airport’s recommendation.
This is your airport arrival time—not the time to leave home. Airline check-in and bag-drop cutoffs still apply.
What you’re walking into
CMH publishes TSA wait times and offers both TSA PreCheck and CLEAR. Concourses A, B, and C have separate checkpoint approaches, so verify the airline concourse first.

On-site rental-car counters and vehicles are connected to the terminal; follow the rental-car signs from baggage claim.
CMH has one terminal, but Concourses A, B, and C are not connected after security. Changing concourses requires returning landside and screening again.
Two free cell-phone waiting areas are available. The Green Lot also provides a free one-hour grace period.
