CLTCharlotte
Charlotte Douglas International
CLT is physically simple but often crowded. Be inside the terminal—not merely entering airport property—two hours early, reserve parking during peaks, and expect to walk to every concourse.

We’ll work backward from the airport’s recommendation.
This is your airport arrival time—not the time to leave home. Airline check-in and bag-drop cutoffs still apply.
What you’re walking into
CLT publishes security and parking-shuttle waits on its website and app. The airport recommends being inside the terminal two hours before domestic and three before international flights.

Don’t stand at the wrong curb
Ride-app pickup uses designated zones on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim lower level. Follow the app and overhead signs for the current door and zone.
Rental-car counters and vehicles are in the Hourly Deck directly across from the terminal; use the Level 2 lobby and skybridges.
CLT has one connected terminal. All concourses are reached on foot after security; there is no passenger train.
A free cell-phone lot is available for attended vehicles; curbside is for active loading only.
