Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International
ATL is efficient for its size, but it is enormous. Arrive two hours early for domestic travel, use the live checkpoint page, and know whether your airline uses the North, South, or International terminal before you park.

We’ll work backward from the airport’s recommendation.
This is your airport arrival time—not the time to leave home. Airline check-in and bag-drop cutoffs still apply.
What you’re walking into
ATL publishes live checkpoint waits. Conditions can change quickly; check before leaving for the airport.

Don’t stand at the wrong curb
Domestic pickup is in the North Economy lot; follow orange signs from North baggage claim. International pickup is on the arrivals-level outer curb near doors A1/A2.
The Rental Car Center is connected to the terminals by the free ATL SkyTrain.
The Plane Train connects every concourse inside security. A separate shuttle connects the Domestic and International terminals outside security.
Free cell-phone waiting lot available; remain with your vehicle until your passenger is curbside.
